About me
My dad always said he liked two kinds of pie: “hot and cold”. My mom could whip up a pie out of nowhere, and it’s true that at church suppers, people would wait in the wings until Maxine’s pies were sliced and served.
I took this all for granted until my Dad was gone and my mom was no longer capable of baking. Pie for me represents the love we invest in others — be it through baking or any act of grace and kindness.
I am a mother of four, a wife, a sister and a daughter. I lead communications for a major global reinsurance company. And on the side, I love to travel, take pictures, fix up our old house, love on our two fluffy big Newfoundland dogs and of course…bake pie.
